Scientific Adventures on video
Why popularise science?
During my education, I quickly realised that sharing knowledge is crucial to creating an open and collaborative dialogue between scientists and society.
Sharing scientific knowledge is key to an enlightened and progressive society.
Scientific discoveries have a huge impact on our lives, whether in terms of health, the environment, technology or the economy.
Yet it is not always easy to understand the implications of these scientific advances.
Popularising knowledge can help remedy this problem.
Scientists can explain their research work, discoveries and potential applications for everyday life in a simple and accessible way.
The knowledge gained can help everyone to make informed decisions about their health and well-being, as well as environmental, technological and ethical issues.
Transparent and effective communication between scientists and the public can help build trust and reduce mistrust and misunderstandings between the two groups.
In this way, scientists can respond to the concerns, questions and curiosities of the public, reinforcing mutual understanding and cooperation.
Sharing knowledge can help stimulate young people's interest in science.
By exposing young people to science and its real-world applications, they can be inspired to pursue scientific studies and consider scientific careers.
It can also help to bridge the skills gap in science and technology in many countries, which is increasingly important in a global economy that is more and more dependent on technology.
Sharing knowledge can also help to strengthen society's commitment to scientific research. By enabling active public participation in research, scientists can benefit from the expertise and knowledge of citizens and their support for research.
It can also help to facilitate informed decision-making in areas such as public health and the environment.
SebEyes Production, where adventure meets the popularisation of science
So it seems clear to me that communication is an essential aspect of being a scientist, even though it is very often sidelined.
Through my video productions, I seek to complete this objective:
- Video, because it is now the most important and widespread medium for communicating a message and knowledge, whatever the platform.
- Adventure, because it adds an attractive aspect to the productions: Have you ever dreamt of going to unknown or little-known places?
- Science, because after all, many areas of science are also largely unknown, and science itself is an adventure!
SebEyes Production was created in 2018. Since then, you can discover on my various networks (YouTube, Facebook and Instagram), places and landscapes, as well as a whole range of fauna and flora, each more interesting than the last, by providing you with scientific explanations in my documentaries and expeditions.
Always with a naturalist's eye, I share my experiences and discoveries with you, explaining the secrets that nature contains.
SebEyes is a whole adventure that I'm feeding into as regularly as possible.
I'm currently releasing several Shorts and video a month on YouTube at a rate that I'm trying to keep up.
